Introduction

In this lesson students will learn how to use vocabulary (environmental protection) correctly when they speak and read about ecological issues. First students will revise vocabulary (environment verbs) using games, in the pre-reading stage they will watch two short videos to learn more about the place they are going to read about in the text. After that, they will work in teams trying to reproduce the text they’ve read and later analyze it (doing comprehension check exercises and follow-up activities). Finally, they’ll share their opinions about the topic of the lesson.

Warmer

1 Find the pair –

Students are divided into 2 groups (words + sentences). Using self-stick notes, a teacher sticks notes with the gapped sentences and missing words on the backs of the students.

Students are not allowed to look at the notes on their backs, they have to ask someone else to read the notes and then try to fill in the sentences with the right words, looking for their pair (matching the words to the sentences)
