Subject: “Healthy Way of Life. Eating Habits”. Form: 7
Main aims:
* to revise previously taught vocabulary;
* to review some grammar structures in Present & Future Simple;
* to practise individual & group work;
* to improve listening and speaking skills;
* to enlarge vocabulary on the topic.
Teaching aids, materials, equipment: computer, projector, screen (interactive teacher’s place), New Challenges 3, CD-player, video & audio files.
Output at the end of the lesson:
* learners have improved their pronunciation skills;
* learners are familiar with grammar material: guestions in Present & Future Tenses;
* learners have got communicative skills;
* learners have activated their lexis on the topic “Healthy Way of Life. Eating
Habits”.
Procedure
1. Greeting, setting aims.
Good morning, young ladies and gentlemen. Have your seats and get ready for the lesson. Today we’re going on talking on the topic “Healthy Way of Life. Eating Habits”, we are to revise the words we’ve learnt, learn some new ones, revise some grammar structures in Present & Future Simple Tenses, and develop our listening and speaking skills.
2. Warm-up activity. Work in pair. Do the questionnaire with your partner.

6. Project Work. A Survey.
I. Write three guestions.
1) What do you eat for snacks?
2) How much fresh fruit and vegetables do you eat?
3) How often do you eat sweets?
II. Ask other students your questions and write down their answers.
III. Write a report of your results, like this: for my survey, I asked twenty-two
students in my class about their eating habits. These are the results. First,
most students do not eat healthy snacks. Over ninety per cent eat things like
cakes, crisps or sweets….Secondly, only ten per cent of students eat or more
pieces of fruit per day…..
IV. Read each other’s reports. Do any results surprise you? How well do the
students eat?
7. Homework: Write an email to your friend & ask to tell about his (her) healthy
eating habits.
8. Summary of the lesson: What did you like at the lesson mostly? Who was the best? The most active students get grades. Now you can………… Would you like to get to this topic again?
9. Optional Activities:
1). Play a game: say for e.g. I usually eat an apple in the morning. Choose a student to repeat your sentence & add another action or fruit (vegetables). Continue playing for as long as possible.
2). Making a poem. I enjoy being healthy.
