Тема : “Travelling. Are You Fond of Travelling?”
Мета : Активізувати лексичні одиниці до теми, навчити здобувачів освіти використовувати вивчену лексику в різних ситуаціях мовлення, учити висловлювати свою думку, розвивати навички читання, усного мовлення, удосконалювати навички аудіювання, сприяти формування комунікативної компетенції.
Обладнання : Презентація, картки для аудіювання, картки для роботи в групах, аудіозапис, картки для Vocabulary Game.
Procedure
I Warming-Up
T: Good morning, students! I’m glad to see you again. How are you today? How are you doing?
T: OK. You’re all at your places with sunshining faces and I’m sure everything is great! So let’s start. We are talking about travelling today. Are you fond of travelling? Well done. So try to do your best to show and improve your knowledge on the topic. (слайд 1)
T: Let’s train our Mr. Tongue. Sounds / / , / /, / /, / / Listen and repeat. (Учитель вимовляє звуки, діти повторюють). And now will read this short rhyme and try to recite. (слайд 2-3)
Rhyme: We go by car and we go by train.
We go by boat and we go by plane.
We go by land, and sea and air.
We go, go, go from here to there.
II The Main Body
T: What ways of travelling do you know? What kinds of travelling are they? Where can we start our journey from? Look at the slides and name them. (слайд 4-7)
T: There are 4 groups of students here. And each group has a riddle about different kinds of travelling. The first group should read their puzzle to the second one and so on. Your task is to guess what kind of travelling it is. (кожна група учнів має картку з написаною загадкою)
T: And now my dearest, we’re listening to the story about the Smiths family who are going to travel. But before listening I want you to look at the slide. You can see some phrases and words which you’ll hear in the text. (учитель читає слова та ознайомлює дітей, діти читають ці слова самостійно, слайд 8)
T: So let’s listen to the story and you then should say if the sentences are true or false (картки із завданням для аудіювання у кожного учня та на слайді 9)
T: Students, I think we’re tired a little bit, let’s do some moving exercises. We’ll listen and sing a song about sea travelling. (діти виконують руханку, звучить пісня “Baby Shark”)
T: So students, we’re full of energy again and can travel forward. Our next stop will be Reading and Storytelling. I’ll give you a packet with separate mixed sentences from the text. Your task is put the sentences in the correct order to make up a story. And then you’ll tell the story to your classmates. (у кожної групи набір карток із реченнями)

T: I know that you’ve prepared the pictures of your favourite kind of travelling. And I’m sure you want to present them to the class and tell some words about it. (учні представляють свої малюнки та розповідають про свій улюблений вид подорожі)
T: We’re working hard today. I think it’s high time to play “Bingo”. Each of you has a card with 9 words on the topic. The leader will call out a word and your task is to cross the word that you’ll hear if you have it on your card. The winner is a student or some students who first cross out all the words on the card. Who wants to be a leader? (учні мають роздатковий матеріал для гри, один із учнів веде гру, слайд 11)
III Summing-Up
T: My dearest and nearest, our travelling is going to an end. Thanks a million for your work. You’ve improved your knowledge on the topic a lot and discovered something useful and interesting. You’ve prepared exciting pictures and you are brilliant students. Finally, you home assignment will be to find some proverbs or sayings about travelling (слайд 11-12)
