Підтема: Two Capitals: Kyiv and London

Тип уроку: Мовленнєво-комбінований

Мета: повторити й активізувати лексичний матеріал по темі;

удосконалювати всі види мовленнєвої діяльності: читання, говоріння, аудіювання та письма; спонукати учнів до розв’язання поставлених навчальних завдань;

виховувати любов до Батьківщини, виховувати повагу до культури інших країн.

Обладнання: підручники, картки, комп’ютер, презентації, наочності.

Хід уроку

1. Привітання.

Т:Good morning everyone!  Nice to see you. Sit down, please. How are you? 

2. Повідомлення теми і мети уроку.

T: “ He who loves not his country, can love nothing “.  Byron. What is your opinion about it?

 (відповіді учнів)

T: You are right. We all should love and be proud of our motherland. But we also like travelling and learn about people’s life in other countries.

So today we are going to visit the capital of  England and capital of our country.

3. Уведення в іншомовну атмосферу.

Т:  As we are going to travel around two capitals today I propose you to start with their places of interest. On the blackboard you can see the names of outstanding places of London and  Kyiv. Divide them into two columns. 

 (учні розташовують малюнки в дві колонки за столицями)

4. Основна частина уроку.

1. Мовленнєва зарядка

T: Look at the blackboard you can see the words “ Ukraine” and  “London”

          Work in two groups. Try to describe the  countries, using the letters

            U     K    R    A    I    N    E         E  N  G  L  A  N  D

2. Активізація ЛО теми.                                                                                                                                                     

T. Now I want you to play a Battle game. One by one you have to say words connecting with the theme “Two capitals”. A pupil who won’t be able to remember a word quit the game.

(Учні по черзі називають слова на задану тему. Той, хто не зможе назвати слово, вибуває з гри)

3. Читання.

T: Now open your textbooks, please, on the page 141. Read the text about Kyiv in ex. 3 and tell what places in Kyiv you have already visited or would like to visit.

(учні по черзі читають та перекладають текст і відповідають на питання)

T: Your next task is ex.4. You should read and match two parts of sentences.

4. Фізкульт хвилинка.

Well, I think it’s high time to have a break.

5. Перевірка домашнього завдання

T: Now it’s time to check your homework. In groups you prepared presentations about Kyiv and London. So each group show it’s presentation, the second group should watch, listen and ask questions.

(Кожна група представляє свою презентацію, інша група слухає, а після виступу  групи ставлять питання)

6. Розвиток навичок усного мовлення.

T: Thank you. Your information was very interesting and useful. I have one more game for you. One of you will be city London, the other will be Kyiv and the third will be a tourist. The tourist will travel around the cities and ask questions. The cities will answer the questions and tell about themselves.

(двоє учнів зображують дві столиці, третій «турист» підходить до них по черзі і розпитує про ці міста)

                P3: Hi! What’s your name?

P1: Hello, I’m Kyiv, the capital of Ukraine. etc.

7. Діалогічне мовлення.

T: Let’s come back to our textbook. Work in pairs. Read the dialogue in ex. 5 on the page 142 and make a similar one.

8. Закріплення вивченого матеріалу.

T: Look at the screen. You can see the pictures of London and Kyiv’s sights.

You have to name this places and say in what city they are situated.

5. Заключна частина уроку.

1. Домашнє завдання.

T: You worked really hard today and learnt a lot. Your next home task  is to tell about one of the places of interest of Kyiv or London.

2. Підведення підсумків уроку. Бесіда з учнями.

Т: Today we spoke about two capitals. Why should we learn about their history? Why should we keep their historical places and landmarks?
