    1. Organizing moment.

     Greetings

- Good morning ,dear children!  I am glad to see you at our lesson!

How do you do?

I hope you are in a good mood today and you are ready for the lesson. Today we have unusual lesson. We have a lot of guests. Lets greet them.

-What is the weather like today?

What season is it?

P1: - To my mind the weather is good because the sun is not shining, the sky is grey, the wind is blowing, it’s cold.  It is winter and it is not snowing. Ok, thank you!

T- Children, who is on duty today?

- I’m.

T: - What day is it today?

 - Today is Tuesday, the twenty -first of February. And as usually  on Tuesdays we have our English lesson.

T: - OK. Who is absent today?

N: All are present.

Thank you, very much. Good! Children ,let's start our lesson from our sounds. Look at the screen and repeat after me.

2.Warming-up activities.

a. Phonetic drills

[t]-a tidy tiger tied a tighter tie to tidy her tiny tail.

[]-this, that, those, these are sitting in the trees.

[t],[d],[k],[n]-and now our poems with these sounds:

            We live in Ukraine, a beautiful land,

            It’s home for me and you my friend,

            It’s towns and villages are so nice,

            The Ukrainian people are wise.

 

             - I met a crane one sunny day,

               Where do you live, I asked the crane,          

               Where do you live, I asked the crane,

                My home is here in Ukraine.

Well done!

So and the motto of our lesson is    

                - You can go to the East,

                  You can go to the West,

                  But at home it is better,

                  But at home it is the best.

Very good! Ukraine is our home, our motherland. As you know we recall many pleasant things with our home. What associations come up to your mind when you hear the word "HOME"?????????

- I associate home with warm-heartedness.

-Thank you! What famous cities do you advise me to visit? Please ,give some information.

-Certainly! With pleasure!

-And what about you? Where are you from? What is your motherland?

-Oh, my motherland is Berdyansk. You know my friends have prepared presentations about their favourite cities! These projects were their homework!  They are gathering in the  art cafe today . Come with me! I think it will be very interesting for you!

KYIV – THE CAPITAL  OF UKRAINE

Kyiv the capital of  Ukraine . It  is one  of  the oldest  cities in  Europe. There are  many  places  of  historic  interest  in  it . Among them  are  Kyiv- Pechersk Lavra, Golden Gates , St. Sophia Cathedral  and others.

Kyiv stands on the river Dnipro . It is the longest  river in Ukraine . This city is very lovely . There are  many  parks  and gardens in Kyiv .

The population of   Kyiv is about 3 million people. There are many  museums , art galleries, theatres  and cinemas  in  the capital.

The central  street is Khreshchatyk. A lot of  tourists visit  this  beautiful city. It is not very long, but it is wide and straight. There are many fine buildings in Khreshatyk . Kyiv is especially beautiful in spring when the famous Kyiv chestnut trees are in blossom. Kyiv, this ancient and ever young city, is the pride and glory of the Ukrainian people.

 Lviv , you call me.

WELCOME TO LVIV

Lviv is our regional centre . It is the most beautiful  city  of  Western Ukraine. The city  was founded by  Danylo  Galytskyi  and named after his son Lev.

There are many  historical places , monuments ,  museums , galleries , theatres and cinemas in  Lviv.

It is a very beautiful  city . The Old City Hall stands  in the centre of Rynok Square. You can visit  Lviv  Art  Gallery, the Opera  and Ballet Theatre, Maria  Zankovetska’s  Ukrainian  Drama  Theatre, Lviv Museum of   Folk  Architecture  and Rural  Life  and other interesting places. Lviv is a city of gardens, of which the oldest Striysky Park, known for its rare trees, is the largest and most picturesque. Lviv is also a cultural centre. Our group has chosen a big Ukrainian city. It is a city in western Ukraine. it has its own flag and coat of arms.

 

Group 3 . Berdyansk

 Town of  Berdyansk is the town  of  mine ,

 Churches and schools are here, we  know.

 Sunny  and streets  are  all the time.

 People are  pleasant  wherever  you  go.

My native town is Berdyansk. It is not large but it’s very beautiful. Berdyansk is situated in Ukraine on the coast of the Sea of Azov in Zaporizhzhya region. My hometown was founded in 1827. Now Berdyansk is a town with population of about 114 thousand people. The traffic in our town is not very busy. Berdyansk is both industrial and agricultural town famous for its oils, , fruit, vegetables and grain crops. But it is also a well-known climatic resort. There are many sanatoriums, rest homes and camps for children in Berdyansk. Most of them are situated in Berdyanska Kosa, part of which is a nature reserve. Every year people from all over the world come to our beaches stretching for many kilometers along the Azov coast. The town of Berdyansk is a cultural centre too. There are twenty schools and three universities in our town. There are a lot of museums and monuments in our town .Every year our town becomes more and more beautiful. The government of Berdyansk pays much attention to rebuilding of streets and squares as to make our native town more attractive and modern . I like my native town very much!

Dear boys and girls  sit comfortable ,close your eyes and imagine that you are lying on a sandy beach.  Breathe in. Breathe out. Let’s pretend it’s summer.
The weather is fine. A light wind is blowing from the sea. The birds are singing. You have no troubles. No serious problems. You are quiet. Your brain relaxes. You love your relatives, your school, your friends, your motherland .They love you too. You hear a beautiful song and your heart is full of energy.
