Цілі уроку:Активувати комунікативні навички учнів ;
Збагачувати словниковий запас по темі « Їжа»;
Розвивати навички монологічного та діалогічного мовлення;
Виховувати культуру поведінки за столом та культуру прийому їжі.
Очікувані результати:Учні повинні активно використовувати лексику по темі ,
складати діалоги та монологічні повідомлення , висловлювати своє ставлення, робити висновки та давати поради.
Обладнання: підручник, план-конспект уроку, картки з словами , ілюстраційні матеріали .
Хід уроку
І.Початок уроку.
--Greetting with class.
--Conversation with pupil on duty.
-T.-Who is on duty today? What day is it today? Is everybody present today?
Is the class –room ready for the lesson? What was your hometask for today ?
Theme and objectives :
T.- You can see so called snake of words . Read the words and try to answer :
-What topic we are going to talk at the lesson?
Word-snake: dinnersaladcoffeebreadbuttertealemonsandwichplatetablespoontastesuseful.
P1-We”ll speak about dinner.
P2-Maybe we’ll make salad or coffee or sandwich?..
P3-I think we’ll put spoons on the table or something else…
T.- Yes , we are going to talk about useful or healthy food, we’ll speak about tastes,
Then somebody try to lay the table , other will make us sandwiches and tea.
I think that our lesson will be interesting and tasty. Be ready for different work.
--Warming up: Play with cube and answer the questions (the cube is with points )

ІІ. Основна частина уроку.
-Vocabulary practice
T.- We are going to speak about tastes. And remember the proverb:
“Tastes are differ “. What tastes do you know?
P.-Tastes are : sweet, salty , sour , bitter , spicy
T.- Now you have a task : to match food and tastes:
Sweet salty sour bitter spicy
Fish cake lemon ketchup mustard
T.- The next task is to make up sentences with words: sweet , salty , sour , bitter , spicy.
Example: My brother likes salty fish . Mother makes a very sweet cake .
I don’ t like bitter pepper . We usually buy spicy ketchup . Green apples are sour .
-Reading
T.-For the next point of work we’ll form 2 groups. I have 2 kinds of cards :
Yellow and pink. Yellow cards are with word “Salt “. Pink cards are with word “Sugar “
Take 1 card and form 2 groups .
Those who have yellow cards sit on the left and your group is called “Salt”.
Those who have pink cards sit on the right and your group is called “Sugar”
Group “Salt” have the task on the yellow stripes of paper .
Group “Sugar” have the task on the pink stripes of paper.
Read the sentences and put them in a right order to make the recipes.
You have 3-4 minutes for work and 1-2 minutes for reading - presentation of your recipes .

There are 2 pictures on the blackboard.
Picture 1- vegetables.
Picture 2 –fruit
The task is to name all vegetables and fruit at the pictures.
T.- Can you add some more names of fruit and vegetables?
The pupils complete the lists of fruit and vegetables.
T.-What can you tell about fruit and vegetables?
P1.- Fruit and vegetables are very useful , because they are full of vitamins.
P2.- Vitamins are important for our eyes , skin , bones and hair.
T.- What other food are useful?
P3.- I want to tell about eggs and cornflakes. They make our bones and teeth strong.
P4.-Other important food are : milk , meat and fish .They help us to grow.
T.-I want to give you an advice : Eat the right food and be always healthy.
It is like the proverb says: Eat well- feel well.
What other proverbs about food and health do you know ?
P.- Good health is above wealth.
P.- We are what we eat .
P.- Live not to eat ,but eat to live .
P.- Appetite comes with eating.
P.-Eat with pleasure , drink with measure .
P.-To lengthen your life lessen your meal .
P.- An apple a day keeps you doctor away .
T.- For making dialogues we’ll form 3 groups : breakfast , dinner , supper .
Here you can see cards of different colours : green , blue , brown .
Green cards –your group is breakfast .
Blue cards – your group is dinner .
Brown cards – your group is supper .
Now you may take the envelopes with key words for your dialogues .
Key words for group1:How to lay the table , table cloth , plate , bowl , spoon , fork , knife , paper napkin , salt and pepper , glasses for water , plate for bread .
Key words for group 2 :How to make tea , teapot , teakettle , teaspoon , sugar , lemon , candies , biscuits , water .
Key words for group 3 :How to make sandwiches , bread , butter , cheese , sausage , lettuce.
Each group may use : -What shall we do the first ? Can I help you?
What is the next ? Don’t forget about… Is it ready ? Help yourself ,please .
-Discussion.
T.- When Ukrainians think of delicious cuisine , the English think more of good table manners . Let’s read , discus and demonstrate some moments of behaviour at the table.
1. You should sit up straight at the table.
2. Don’t put your elbows on the table while you are eating.
3. You should keep your feet on the floor .
4. Never talk with your mouth full.
5. You should take off your hat .
6. You should eat with a knife and a fork . You shouldn’t eat with your fingers .
7. You shouldn’t lick your fingers .
8. When you are drinking with a straw , don’t make a loud noise .
9. Never read while eating.
10. Cut your meal into small pieces .
11. Talk only about nice things at the dinner table .
12. You should say “thank you “ after the meal .

T.-Listen to the joke and answer to some questions :
