Тема уроку:  Проектна робота. A biography.

Мета уроку: Удосконалювати комунікативні здібності учнів, учити застосовувати отримані знання в конкретній ситуації. Розвивати навички аудіювання та монологічного мовлення. Активізувати лексику по темі, розширювати словниковий запас. Розвивати кругозір учнів, стимулювати до самостійного пошуку додаткової інформації по темі. Виховувати пошану і інтерес до культури країни та мови.

Обладнання: фото відомих людей, картки для групової роботи, проекти учнів

PROCEDURE

 I. INTRODUCTION

1. Greeting

Good morning children! How are you? Choose one of the smiles.

2. Aim

The topic of our lesson is “Famous people. A biography”. Today we are going to have an unusual lesson. We are going to talk about famous people and their lives around the world now and in the past. Their jobs are different but they are well-known because they worked hard.

3. Warm-up

Guess what job I am talking about:

1. A person who travels to space
2. A person who writes novels and poems
3. A person who plays music and sings songs
4. A person who finds new countries

II. MAIN PART OF THE LESSON

1.Speaking

You are divided into 3groups. Your task is to represent one famous person that you had chosen. You have a card on your desk. You have to listen to your classmates and complete the table in the card

Thank you for your projects. You made very good and interesting projects.

Let’s check your answers. Very good. You coped with the task.

2.Reading

On your desks you have texts. This text is about famous people of  Britain.

You can see pictures of these people on the board. Can you say the names of these people?

Look through the text and replace the words in bold with the correct names. You have 4 minutes.

3.Listening

Have a look at this copy. You can see other famous people. Do you know their names? Say them.

Look through the questions and answer them. Now you are going to listen to the quiz. You will listen 2 times.
