Тип уроку: Урок ознайомлення з новими лексичними одиницями та формування лексичних навичок усного мовлення, читання, і аудіювання.
Форми роботи: Індивідуальна, колективна.
Засоби: Комп'ютер, проектор, екран, слайди, “pupils’ worksheets”;
Урок супроводжується слайд-програмою розробленою за допомогою комп’ютерної програми Microsoft Power Point.
The structure of the lesson
I. Organizational moment (Підготовка до сприйняття іншомовної інформації)
Teacher: Good morning! Write today’s date and day. Who is absent today?
Aim. Today we shall speak about consumer rights. During the lesson you will learn a new portion of words to the topic, understand more about the legal protection available to consumers in a number of everyday settings; listen and read useful information. (slide 2)
So, let`s start.
Warming up. We shall start our lesson with an English proverb.
“Buying and selling is but winning and losing.” (slide 3)
Give the Ukrainian equivalent to this proverb. Put it down into your copy-books.
II. The main part of the lesson (Основна частина уроку)
To cope successfully with the material of the lesson you will need a world list.

“Brainstorm” everything you have consumed today. This means, what things have you needed/used/eaten today from the moment you woke up to right now?” (Students express their thoughts.) (slide 5)
Teacher: Read the information in the slides and try to translate it.
We shall start with the definition of “Consumer”. (slides 6-8)
Goods that we buy can be divided into two groups: needs and wants.
Let us differentiate those (slides 9-10).
There are 8 consumer rights. Make acquainted with them. (slides 11-19)
