Захід відбувається у спортзалі .Учасники – учні двох класів(склад команди 10 чоловік).У першому виді змагань (проведення вправ ранкової гігієнічної зарядки) участь бере весь клас. Спортивний зал прикрашений повітряними кульками та малюнками на спортивну тематику на одній стіні висять газети виготовлені учнями класів. Учні вишикувані у шеренгу по обидва боки від столу, за яким сидять члени журі. Одна команда має назву ‘Stars’ (‘Зірки’) і всі учасники одягнені у футболки білого кольору з малюнками зірочок. Команда іншого класу має назву ’Dolphins’(‘Дельфіни’).Кожен учасник команди одягнений у білу футболку з малюнком дельфіна. Ведучі оголошують початок змагань та запрошують команди.

Compere2: I’ve heard that today is Sports Day in our school. But what does it mean?

 Compere1: It means that you can jump, hop, skip, and run all the day long.

Compere2: Just because of the Sports Day we have these competitions.

Compere1: Two teams are going to compete. Meet them!

We play and frolic in the deep ocean blue.

Our teeth are sharp, but our smiles are friendly too.

At times we help tired swimmers,

And humans call us dolphins!

Play with us it’s great fun.

II WARMING-UP

ІІ Конкурс розминка. У даному виді змагань беруть участь всі учні класу. Учні виконують комплекс вправ ранкової гігієнічної зарядки.

Compere1: And now, let’s do some warming-up exercises.

Compere2: We call them morning exercises.

Compere1: You’re going to do them twice.

Compere2: The winner is the team, which gains more points.

 Compere1: You have to do exercises as synchronously and neatly as possible.

Compere 2: Учасники повинні виконати комплекс вправ ранкової гігієнічної зарядки.

Compere 1: Комплекс вправ виконується два рази.

Compere 2: Оцінюється синхронність і чіткість виконання вправ.

 Compere 1: Переможець визначається за більшою сумою балів.

Compere 2: Черговість виконання вправ комплексу визначаться жеребкуванням.

Compere1: So, captains, come here to draw the lots.

Compere 2: Капітани, підійдіть для проведення жеребкування.

Учні виконують вправи.

III SNAKE RACE

ІІІ Конкурс Біг «Змійкою»

  Команди вишиковуються в колону по одному на лінії старту. За сигналом перший учасник оббігає п’ять фішок і повертається до лінії старту де передає естафетну паличку  наступному учаснику , який продовжує естафету.

Compere2: And now the main part of our competitions comes – the race!

Compere1: А зараз – естафета.

Compere2: The first is the snake race

Compere 1:  Перший вид естафети – біг змійкою.

Compere 2: The first competitor runs between 5 objects and then passes the race to the next competitor.

Compere 1: The quickest will win.

Compere 2: Перший учасник оббігає 5 фішок і повертається до лінії старту, де передає естафетну паличку наступному учасник, який продовжує естафету.

IV SKIPPING ROPE RACE

IV Конкурс: Естафета із скакалкою.

 Команди вишиковуються в колону по одному на лінії старту . Учасник біжить до скакалки виконує 10 стрибків , кладе скакалку та біжить до лінії старту, де, дотиком руки передає естафету наступному учаснику.

Compere2: Over my head and under my toes

                   That’s the way my skipping-rope goes.

Compere1: Yes, it’s time for the skipping rope race.

                   I can skip slowly, I can skip fast

                   Look my rope is whirling past!

Compere2: А зараз естафета із скакалкою.

Compere1: You’ll take turns to run to the skipping rope and to jump 10 times.

Compere2: The winners are the quickest.

 Compere1: Команди вишиковуються по одному на лінії старту. Учасник біжить до скакалки, виконує 10 стрибків, кладе скакалку та біжить до лінії старту, де дотиком руки передає естафету наступному учаснику.

Compere2: Місця команд визначаються згідно показаного часу.

V Конкурс Кидки мішечків в ціль

Учасник виконує кидок в горизонтальне коло на підлозі. Попадання в коло оцінюється в одне очко.

Compere2: And now Hit the Mark race.

Compere1: You’ll have to hit the circle on the floor. One hit into circle is one point.

 Compere2: More hits – more points. The winner is the team, which has more points.

Compere1: Учасники виконують кидки в горизонтальне коло на підлозі. Попадання в коло оцінюється в одне очко. Перемагає команда, яка в сумі набрала більше очок.

 Учні виконують завдання. Звучить пісня Take Me out to the Ball Game.

VI JUMPING BALL RACE

VI Конкурс ведення м’яча

Всі учасники команди повинні почергово провести баскетбольний м’яч змійкою поміж п’яти фішок. Ведення виконується в обох напрямках. Довівши м’яч до лінії старту учасник передає його  наступному учаснику.

Compere1: Next comes the Jumping Ball Race.

Compere2: Bounce the ball, grab one jack,

                  Catch the ball with jack in hand.
Compere1: Another bounce, grab two jacks,

                  Then catch the ball before it lands.
Compere2: With each bounce, collect more jacks,

                   Then catch the ball for a victory stand.

Compere1: You should take turns to lead the basketball.

Compere2: The winners are the quickest.

Compere1: Ведення м’яча. Учасники повинні почергово провести баскетбольний м’яч змійкою поміж п’яти фішок.

Compere2: Місця команд визначаються згідно показаного часу.

VII BASKETBALL

VII Конкурс «Баскетбол»

 Команди вишиковуються по одному по лінії старту. Капітан команди з корзиною в руках стоїть навпроти своєї команди. Учасника команди намагаються влучити тенісним м’ячем в корзину , яку тримає капітан. За кожен закинутий м’яч команда отримує 1 очко.

Compere2: Let’s play basketball!

Compere1: It’s just time for it.

Compere2: Throw the ball towards the wall,

                  In hopes someone to hit somebody.

Compere2: In the baskets two points are won,

                    Missing basket, scramble on.

Compere2: You must throw the balls into the baskets that your captains have.

Compere1: Captains, you can move the basket, but you can’t cross the line of the circle.

Compere2: Учасники намагаються влучити тенісним м’ячем в корзину яку тримає капітан. Кожен учасник виконує по дві спроби.

Compere1: Капітан може допомагати своїй команді, рухаючи корзиною в напрямку м’яча, але не виходячи з обмежуючого кола.

Compere2:  За кожен закинутий м’яч команда отримує одне очко.

Compere1: Перемагає команда, яка набере найбільшу кількість очок.

VIII Конкурс капітанів.

Капітан команди повинен перенести тенісні м’ячі (4 шт.) з одного кола в інше, які розміщені на відстані  6 метрів . За один раз можна переносити один м’яч.

 Compere2: And at last comes captains’ contest.

Compere1: The task is simple.

Compere2: Fetch the tennis balls from one circle to another.

Compere1: The winner is the quickest.

Compere2: Капітани повинні перенести тенісні м’ячі з одного кола до іншого.

Compere1: За один раз можна переносити тільки один м’ячик.

Compere2: Місця визначаються згідно показаного часу.

Учні презентують свою газету, яку підготували раніше.

Вони розповідають про свій вигаданий уявний табір відпочинку.

Compere1: Though our competitions are coming to the end, we have to check your home task.

Compere2: Our teams had to draw and to write the advertisement of a summer camp.

Compere: 1 Let’s listen to them.

Pupils show their project and describe their summer camp.

Compere2: Judges the marks, please.

Члени журі показують оцінки, потім вони підбивають підсумки по всіх конкурсах. Ведучі оголошують церемонію нагородження.

Compere1: It’s award ceremony.

Compere2: Увага! Церемонія нагородження.

Змагання закінчуються нагородженням кожного учасника подарунком.

Журі визначає команду переможця яка нагороджується грамотою.
