Scene 1
Storyteller: One beautiful morning Winnie the Pooh was walking through the big forest. He was singing some song when suddenly he saw his friend Piglet.
Winnie the Pooh: Good morning, my dear friend.
Piglet: Hello, Winnie! What are you doing here in this part of the forest?
Winnie the Pooh: I am having a nice walk through this nice part of the forest. By the way, have you seen anybody here?
Piglet: Sorry, but no. But look! What a large hole is! Maybe, somebody is here.
Winnie the Pooh: The hole… The hole means Rabbit. Piglet, let’s visit our friend.
Piglet: OK, I don’t mind.
Winnie the Pooh: Let’s see if he is here. Is there anybody at home?
Rabbit: No.
Winnie the Pooh: Piglet, have you just said “No”?
Piglet: No, it is not me. If it’s not me and you, who can it be? Try again.
Winnie the Pooh: Hello! Is there anybody at home?
Rabbit: Nobody.
Piglet: There must be somebody because somebody has just said “Nobody”.
Winnie the Pooh: Hello, Rabbit, is that you?
Rabbit: No.
Piglet: But I think that this voice is Rabbit’s one.
Rabbit: I don’t think so.
Winnie the Pooh: So, Voice, can you tell me something? Where is Rabbit?
Rabbit: I don’t know where he is. But recently he has told me that he would go to see his friend Pooh Bear.
Winnie the Pooh: But I haven’t met him! I’m here with Piglet and we wanted to visit our friend Rabbit ourselves.
Rabbit: Are you sure?
Piglet: Yes, of course.
Rabbit: If so, come in, please
Scene 2
Storyteller: Winnie the Pooh and Piglet were very glad to hear that. Piglet came in without any problems because he was thin and small. As the hole was too tight for Winnie the Pooh, he pushed and pushed his way through the hole and at last he got in too.
Rabbit: Hello, my dear friends. As the host of this house, I want to stand a treat. Would you like some honey?
Piglet: Dear Rabbit, thanks but I have already had breakfast and …
Winnie the Pooh: Piglet! What are you saying? Dear Rabbit, of course we will have breakfast at your home. Are you saying “Honey”?
Rabbit: Yes, I have honey or would you like considered milk with bread?
Winnie the Pooh: Both. But don’t bother about the bread, please.
Storyteller: And as a hospitable host, Rabbit treated his friends with honey and considered milk. After a while, when Winnie the Pooh ate everything, Rabbit was ready to say “Goodbye” but his politeness was not so rectilineal.
Piglet: OK, Winnie, have you finished? Let’s go home.
Winnie the Pooh: Hmmm… You are right, my friend. It’s time to go home if…
Rabbit: If what? Maybe, you would like some tea with jam. Would you?
Piglet: No, thank you, Rabbit.
Winnie the Pooh: Shhhhh! Rabbit, what jam do you have?
Rabbit: I have a jar of raspberry jam.
Winnie the Pooh: Raspberry jam? Oh, it’s my favourite one. I’ll taste your jam, dear Rabbit.
Storyteller: Soon after that Winnie the Pooh tasted raspberry jam, strawberry jam and many other tasty things.
Winnie the Pooh: Dear Rabbit, thank you very much but I remembered that I had to do something. So, it’s time to go home.
Rabbit: Dear guests I was very happy to see you. (To himself) At last you have to go home. Bye!
Piglet: Well, goodbye, Rabbit. OK, Winnie, I’ll be the first. I’ll climb out the hole and then you will.
Winnie the Pooh: OK, bye, Rabbit.
Scene 3
Storyteller: Piglet climbed out the hole without any trouble. When he was outside he heard the terrible noise.
Winnie the Pooh: Oh, help, help, help!
Rabbit: Winnie, what’s happened?
Winnie the Pooh: I don’t know. I pulled with my front paws and pushed with my back paws out of the hole, and in a little while my nose was out in the open again and then my ears and then… and then I … I can’t move my body any more.
Piglet: Dear, Winnie, it seems to me that you’ve stuck.
Rabbit: I think that Piglet is right. Winnie, wait for a while, I’ll go out by the back door and come round to you.
Winnie the Pooh: OK, I’ll wait for you here. By the way, I’m not in a hurry anymore!
Rabbit: Yes, my friend Winnie, you have stuck.
Piglet: What will we do?
Rabbit: To my mind, we have to call Christopher Robin for help. Piglet, will you go after him?
Piglet: OK, I’ll be right now.
Scene 4
Storyteller: After a while Christopher Robin and Piglet appeared. But they were not alone. They met Eeyore (the donkey) and Owl on their way.
Eeyore: Hello, everyone! Hello, dear Winnie. It seems to me that you need our help.
Owl: Yes, the donkey is right. When we heard about your trouble, Winnie, we agreed to help you.
Christopher Robin: Dear Winnie, everyone knows that you are a sweet tooth. But you must always remember that eating too many sweet things is not useful for your health.
Winnie the Pooh: Oh, friends, I know this, but I can’t live without sweets, honey, and jam. I can’t even imagine my life without them.
Eeyore: Rabbit, you are a host. Why did you treat Winnie and Piglet with these sweetmeats? Why didn’t you stop them?
Rabbit: I don’t know. I thought that everything would be OK and…
Owl: … and he didn’t guess that his hole would be so tight for our Winnie.
Winnie the Pooh: Oh, please, dear friends, help me. What should I do?
Christopher Robin: OK, Winnie, listen to me. Stretch out a paw and we’ll pull, ok?
Winnie the Pooh: OK…
Christopher Robin: So, friends, be ready. 1, 2, 3…
Winnie the Pooh: Oh, oh, oh, you are hurting!
Eeyore: Sorry but the result is that you have stuck.
Winnie the Pooh: Yeah, thank you, dear Eeyore, that you’ve admitted it again.
Owl: Friends, I have an idea! Maybe, we should push him back.
Piglet: Maybe, she is right. Let’s try. Winnie, be ready. 1, 2, 3…
Winnie the Pooh: Oh, oh, oh, you are hurting!
Eeyore: Sorry but the result is that you have stuck.
Winnie the Pooh: Yeah, thank you, Eeyore, that you have admitted it again and again.
Rabbit: If we can’t pull him out, what should we do then?
Christopher Robin: I think that we have to wait for Winnie to get thin again.
Eeyore: But Winnie won’t get thin at once. Am I right?
Piglet: How long does getting thin take?
Christopher Robin: About a week, I think.
Winnie the Pooh: What?! A week?! I won’t be here a week! I can’t stay here!
Owl: Winnie, dear, you don’t have any choice. Can’t you see it?
Rabbit: And, besides, we’ll stay with you. And I hope it won’t snow or rain.
Winnie the Pooh: A week… What about meals?
Christopher Robin: I’m afraid no meals because of getting thin quicker.
Piglet: Winnie, don’t be so upset. We’ll read something to you.
Winnie the Pooh: If there is no any other choice, I am ready…
Scene 5
Storyteller: Christopher Robin read his friends great stories about friendship, different countries and people. At the same time Winnie the Pooh felt himself getting slenderer and slenderer.
Christopher Robin: OK, friends, a week has already passed. Let’s try. You, Owl and Eeyore, take his front paws. You, Piglet and Rabbit, push him back. Are you ready? OK, 1, 2, 3…
Winnie the Pooh: OW! Pop! I am free! Thank you, my dear friends, for your help.
Eeyore: Dear Winnie, please, promise never to eat too much jam…
Owl: … and honey …
Rabbit: … and sweets …
Piglet: … and any other sweet things.
Winnie the Pooh: My friends, I love all of you, but you know that I can’t imagine my life without them.
Christopher Robin: Yes, dear Winnie, we know this. But I am sure that this situation has taught you something, hasn’t it?
Winnie the Pooh: Of course, it has… Oh, I’m so hungry. Maybe, it’s time for having a snack?
Storyteller: And laughing, all friends went through the forest. All is well that ends well. But it’s not the end of our story about the funny Bear who liked honey.
