Thema der Stunde:  New Places.New  Impressions.

                        Neue Städte.  Neue Eindrücke.

 

Ziele:  Aussprache-, Lesen-, Hör-, Sprechen- und  lexikalische  Fertigkeiten  und

          Fähigkeiten  verbessern;

          logisches Denken und Erkenntnisinteressen zum Englisch- und

          Deutschlernen entwickeln;

          Kenntnisinteresse verbreiten;

          die Kultur anderer Völker beachten lernen.

 

Erwartene Ergebnisse: Schüler gebrauchen die Themenlexik beim Sprechen;

           vernehmen und verstehen gegebene Audio- und Videostoff;

           interessieren sich für das Thema der Stunde;

          streben nach der Wissensvertieferung des gegebenes Themas.

 

Einrichtungen:  Demonstrationsstoff, Power Point -Präsentationen, ein Computer,          Arbeitsblätter zum Hören und Lesenaufgaben, Online-Videos.

T: Good afternoon, dear pupils!

L: Freut mich, Sie  in der Hauptstadt Deutschlands zu begrüßen.

Unsere Rundfahrt durch Berlin beginnen wir hier.

 

Wir stehen auf dem Alex, so wird Alexanderplatz liebvoll von den Berliner genannt. Seinen Namen verdankt der Platz dem russischen Zaren.

Am Alex steht ein großer Fernsehturm.  Man kann mit dem Lift auf dem Turm steigen und von oben auf die Stadtsehen.

Der Platz mit seiner Weltzeituhr ist eine große Fußgängerzone.

Wir fahren die Straße  ‘Unter den Linden’ entlang. Die Straße ist 300 Jahre alt.

Wir sind am Brandenburger Tor, das Symbol von Berlin und der deutschen Einheit.

Gleich daneben befindet  sich das Parlamentsgebäude, der wiederhergestellte Reichstag. Hinten befindet sich die Humboldt-Universität und die deutsche Staatsoper.

Jetzt Fahren wir zum verliebenen Schloss auf Berliner Boden,

Machen sie ein Puzzle zu erfahren.

Das ist Schloss Charlottenburg, wo das Herrschen aus dem Haus Hohenzollern bewohnten.

Den Mittelturmbaute man in der Form einer  Kuppel.

Den Park gestaltete man im französischen Stil. m Westen befindet sich das Theater. Im Park errichtete man das Teehaus Belv edere.

Unsere Rundfahrt ist damit beendet. Es ist unmöglich, das ganze Berlin an einem Tag zu besichtigen. Ich bedanke mich bei Sie und wünsche weitere Bekanntschaft mit unserer schönen Stadt.

P: Airport Heathrow – is an international airport. It is the second busiest airport in the world by the international passenger traffic. It lies for 14 miles (or 23 km).

T: Let’s ask a police officer how we can get to London.

• Yes, it is.
• Well, first of all you should take the Tube, choose the  Piccadilly Line there, then go to the Central London to Knightsbridge station.  After that you can join a bus tour there.

What facts about the Buckingham Palace do you know?

Buckingham Palace is the official London residence of the UK’s Monarch. The Queen Elizabeth II and the Royal Family stay at the Palace on weekdays. (slide2)

When the Queen is staying the Royal Standard flag is flown above the central balcony. (slide3)

Today Buckingham Palace is a building where official meetings, royal events and different ceremonies take place. (slide4)

The Palace is surrounded by beautiful gardens : Buckingham Palace Gardens, Green Park, St. James’s Park. (slide5)

The ceremony of the Changing of the Guard that takes place daily at eleven o’clock in the morning, provokes most interest among tourists. Every day a large crowd of people gather to see this famous and traditional ceremony.( slide6)

 

The Palace is really beautiful, but our tour is going on and the next destination point is the Big Ben and the Houses of Parliament.

The Houses of Parliament.

This huge building is a home of the British government. Members of Parliament are also called MPs. People choose them in elections which take place every 4to 5 years. The task of Parliament is to make laws.

Big Ben is the name of the bell (13.7 tonnes) inside the Clock Tower (called the Elizabeth Tower). It forms part of the Houses of Parliament.

Next we are going to look at London from one of the biggest wheels – the London Eye.

But to get there we should cross the Tower Bridge.

Make a puzzle and read some information about it.

Tower Bridge has stood over the river Thames in London since 1894 and is one of the finest, most recognisable bridges in the world.  It is the London bridge you tend to see in movies and on advertising literature for London.

Tower Bridge is the only Thames bridge which can be raised. It used to be raised about 50 times a day, but nowadays it is only raised 4 to 5 times a week.

It has got the high-level walkway (used as an exhibition space). The walkways also provide nice views over the city.

 

And here we are at the London Eye.

To get in we should buy a ticket. How do you think how much must we pay for it?

That was our last sightseeing place for today. To make sure you have remembered something let’s do a little quiz about our today’s tour.
