Ideas of interesting tasks “Weather”

 

1. Weather Flashcards: Divide the students into small groups and give each group a set of weather flashcards. Each group must work together to match the words on the flashcards with the corresponding weather pictures.

 

 2. Weather Charades: Divide the class into two teams. Each team takes turns choosing a weather word or phrase and acting it out without speaking. The other team has to guess the weather word or phrase being acted out.

 

 3. Weather Vocabulary Race: Divide the class into small groups and give each group a set of weather word cards. Place a chair at the other end of the room with a weather picture on it. The first student from each group has to run to the chair, pick up a weather word card, and run back to their group to match the word with the corresponding picture. The group with the correct matches wins.

 

  4. Weather Bingo: Create bingo cards with different pictures of weather conditions. Call out different weather words or phrases, and the students have to mark the corresponding picture on their bingo cards. The first student to get a line or a full card wins.

 

5. Weather Storytelling: Divide the class into small groups and give each group a weather-related story. Each group must work together to practice and perform the story, using gestures and expressions to convey the weather conditions.

 

6. Weather Map Creation: Provide each group with a large piece of paper and markers. Instruct the groups to create their own weather maps, including different weather symbols and conditions. They can also include a key explaining the symbols they used.

 

7. Weather Debate: Divide the class into two teams and assign each team a different weather-related topic to debate. For example, "Is rain better than sunshine?" Each team must work together to gather arguments and present their case to the class. 

 

8. Weather Newspaper Article: Assign each group a different weather event or phenomenon to research. They must work together to write a newspaper article about their assigned topic, including information about the causes, effects, and any related stories or events.

 

9. Weather Poetry: Give each group a different weather condition, such as rain, snow, or wind. Each group must work together to write a poem about their assigned weather condition, using descriptive language and imagery. 

 

10. Weather Quiz Show: Create a weather-themed quiz show format, with different rounds and categories. Each group takes turns answering questions about weather vocabulary, climate patterns, and weather-related phenomena. The group with the most points at the end of the game wins.
