Тема:     Будинок. Квартира.

Мета:    повторити й активізувати вивчений лексичний матеріал по темі, практикувати учнів у вживанні ЛО в усному та писемному мовленні; формувати навички діалогічного та монологічного мовлення ; вчити презентувати власну творчу роботу; розвивати навички читання та говоріння; розвивати критичне мислення, пам’ять, творчість учнів; збагачувати словниковий запас; виховувати культуру  мовлення, почуття товариськості, інтерес до вивчення іноземної мови. 

Обладнання:  малюнок, роздаткові картки з текстом та завданням, комп’ютер, проектор, екран.

Хід уроку

І. Введення в іншомовне мовлення

1. Greeting

T: Good morning, dear children. Nice to meet you. How are you? I’m fine and you?

S: I’m fine.

T: Turn to each other, touch your hands and try to say some polite words to each other.

S: You are fine.

S: Nice to meet you. Be happy.

2. Aim and Warming up

T: Look at the picture and ask questions to get information about it. (Вчитель фіксує основні запитання на дошці.)

S: Who lives in this house? Are they happy?

S: What is there near the house?

S: Is it cosy?

S: Has it got all modern conveniences?

S: Is it warm inside?

S: Is it necessary to make the house warmer?

T: Choose one the best question to answer it today.

T: At this lesson we’ll try to answer the question “Is it necessary to make the house warmer? Why?”

T: Do you know the difference between the words ‘a house’ and ‘a home’?

S: “a home” – is a place where you feel comfortable and safe.

S: “a house” – is a building which people live in.

T: There are a lot of proverbs about home?  Do you know them?

S: “East or West home is best”  

S:  “There is no place like home” 

S:  “Home, sweet home” 

S: “Home where the heart is.”

T: Do you agree with it? Is home really the best place?

T: Where can we live?

Read this. Before settlers from Europe arrived in North America, native people lived there. Many of them were nomads who travelled over the plains and hunted bison. They lived in tents called teepees. These were easy to put up, take down and carry. Long wooden poles were placed in a circle and tied together at the top. Then bison skins were placed over the poles. Sometimes as many as twenty skins were used. Teepees were usually 3 metres high and about 4 metres across on the ground. Skins were spread on the floor so that families stayed dry and warm. There was no furniture. Families sat and slept on skins and furs. They often lit a fire in the middle of the tent. There was a hole at the top of the teepee so that smoke could escape. The Native Americans often painted beautiful pictures on the outside of their teepees.
