Досвід викладання англійської мови в школі свідчить, що ефективність засвоєння певного граматичного матеріалу залежить від характеру матеріалу, його змістовності, запам’ятовування.

Тому цей матеріал може допомагати під час вивчення окремих граматичних тем. Учні із зацікавленням і задоволенням знаходять еквіваленти англійських прислів’їв та приказок у своїй рідній мові, відгадують значення цих виразів. Таким чином, поповнюється не тільки база граматичних знань учнів, а й фразеологічна. Це дає змогу більш широко вживати англійські прислів’я та приказки в усному мовленні.
