How to Form the Simple Present Tense

Большинство глаголов в английском языке меняют форму только в 3 лице, единственного числа : he/she/it.

• I work.
• You work.
• He / she / it works.
• We work.
• You work.
• They work.

Для некоторых глаголов добавляем окончание 'es'  Например : 'I go', 'I watch', and 'I fix' образуется в 'he goes, she watches, it fixes' НЕ 'gos', 'watchs', 'fixs'.

Глаголы, которые заканчиваются на 'y', меняют 'y' и добавляем 'ies':

 'I study English'преобразовывается в  'He studies English'.

Когда мы употребляем Simple Present Tense

We use the simple present tense to talk about:

1.Факты, которые не меняются:

• The Sun rises in the east. (= the Sun always rises in the east)
• Water boils at 100 degrees.
• The Earth goes around the Sun.

2.Говорим в общем о жизни:

• I work. (= I normally work.)
• You smoke. (= In general, you smoke.)
• He drinks tea with milk. (= Most of the time, he drinks tea with milk)
