   Raise awareness of the nature around us, encouraging students to explore and appreciate outdoor life;

   Extend students’ vocabulary to talk about nature;

  Develop students’ note-taking skills;

   Develop students’ oral fluency through a discussion of photos;

Хід уроку/ Procedure

1. Підготовка до сприйняття іншомовного мовлення.

Привітання/Greeting:

T: Good morning, dear students!

I'm very glad to see you today! I suppose you are OK and we can start our lesson.

Фонетична розминка/Phonetic exercises:

T : First of all tell me please  what natural disasters do you know?

Hurricane: a hurricane is a type of storm called a tropical cyclone, which forms over tropical or subtropical water.

 Tornado: a tornado is a narrow, violently rotating column of air that extends from a thunderstorm to the ground.

 Flood: A flood is an overflow of water that submerges land that is usually dry.

 Drought: A drought is a period of time when an area or region experiences below-normal precipitation.

 Tsunami: A tsunami is a series of waves in a water body caused by the displacement of a large volume of water, generally in an ocean or a large lake

Earthquake: An earthquake is an intense shaking of Earth's surface.

Volcanic eruption; A volcanic eruption is when gas and/or lava are released from a volcano—sometimes explosively

Wildfire: A wildfire is an uncontrolled fire that burns in the wildland vegetation, often in rural areas.

T: As you understood today we will learn about nature disasters. Recently you’ve heard about them from  the news, how do you think were they known before the scientists told us about such terrible things that had happened?

(Students read the tasks of different natural disasters and choose the right picture. Then, they need to prepare arguments to justify their choice.)

T: To your opinions what is the most dangerous nature disaster is?

at 04:17,

 power7.8 earthquake struck southern and central Turkey and northern and western Syria.

As of 20 March 2023, more than 57,300 deaths were confirmed.

Unfortunately such terrible news we get from all over the world.

Підсумки уроку/Summarizing

A lot of cruel thing are happened nowadays such as: hurricane, tornado, flood, drought, tsunami, earthquake, wildfire.
