A year later, in June 1614 (when Shakespeare had already left London in Stratford), the theater building was restored, and lasted until 1642. The Royal Opera House

The Royal Opera House is an opera house and major performing arts venue in Covent Garden, central London. The large building is often referred to as simply "Covent Garden", after a previous use of the site of the opera house's original construction in 1732. It is the home of The Royal Opera, The Royal Ballet, and the Orchestra of the Royal Opera House. Originally called the Theatre Royal, it served primarily as a playhouse for the first hundred years of its history. In 1734, the first ballet was presented. A year later, Handel's first season of operas began. Many of his operas and oratorios were specifically written for Covent Garden and had their premieres there.

The current building is the third theatre on the site following disastrous fires in 1808 and 1856. The façade, foyer, and auditorium date from 1858, but almost every other element of the present complex dates from an extensive reconstruction in the 1990s. Додаток 3

Тhe Queen's Theatre

The Queen's Theatre is a West End theatre located in Shaftesbury Avenue on the corner of Wardour Street in the City of Westminster, London. It opened on 8 October 1907 as a twin to the neighbouring Hicks Theatre (now the Gielgud Theatre) which had opened ten months earlier. Both theatres were designed by W. G. R. Sprague.

Original plans were to name the venue Central Theatre, however after lengthy debate, it was named The Queen's Theatre and a portrait of Queen Alexandra was hung in the foyer.

The first production at the Queen's Theatre was a comedy by Madeline Lucette Ryley called The Sugar Bowl. It was poorly received and ran for only 36 performances, however the theatre received glowing reviews.

Ромео.What lights through yonder window breaks?

It is the east and Juliet is the sun.

It is my lady, o , it is my love.

Джульетта.O Romeo Romeo! Why are you Romeo?

Deny your father and refuse your name.

Ромео.Shall I hear more , or shall I speak at this?

Джульетта.This but your name is my enemy;

What’s Montague? It is nor hand, nor foot,

Nor arm, nor face, nor any other part

Belonging to a man. Oh, be some other name.

Ромео.I take you at your word.

Call me but love, and I’ll be new baptized.

And since then I never will be Romeo.

Джульетта.Do you love me? I know you’ll say yes and I will take your word.

O! Swear not by the moon? the inconstant moon

That monthly changes in the circled orb.

Ромео.What shall I swear by?

Джульетта.Do not swear at all.

Good night, good night, my Romeo!

Ромео.Sleep dwell upon your eyes, peace in your breast!

Would I were sleep and peace, so sweet to rest.
