Тема: Характер та зовнішність людини

Підтема: : Дружба. Твій найліпший друг. Навчння складанню повідомлень до теми.

Мета:

• повторити й  закріпити лексику теми;
• навчати  учнів вживати конструкції  as … as на позначення ступенів порівняння прикметників;
• продовжувати формувати  навички монологічного мовлення;
• удосконалювати техніку читання;
• продовжувати розвивати  вміння сприймати тексти на слух;
• практикувати учнів у написанні листів за визначеною темою;
• виховувати  культуру спілкування.

Обладнання:   підручник, робочий зошит, аудіо запис, картки для роботи в групах, презентація Power Point.

PROCEDURE

І. INTRODUCTION

1.               Greeting (1 min.)

T: - Good morning pupils, nice to meet you.

Ps: - Good morning, nice to meet you too.

2.               Organization (1 min.)

T: - Show me your books, copy-books, work books, vocabulary.

3.               Aim (1 min.)

Метод: усний виклад.

Т:  - Today we’ll  do the test and learn what type of friend you are. Also we’ll speak about your best friend and write a letter where describe the features of real friend.

4.               Warming up (2 min.)

     Метод: усний виклад матеріалу. На дошці з’являється вірш, але у ньому пропущені прикметники . Учням потрібно доповнити вірш запропонованими прикметниками.

Т: - Complete the poem with the words in the box. Use the rhyme to help you.

II. MAIN PART

1. Check on Home Task ex. 3, p. 16 WB (3 min.)

Метод: усний виклад матеріалу. Один з учнів читає опис людини.

T: - So, let’s check your home task!

2. Listening ( 7 min.)

1) Pre-Listening Activity.

Метод: бесіда. Декілька учнів дають відповіді на питання.

T: - How do you think do people need in friends? How many friends do you need? Is it good to have a pen-friend? Do you remember our pen-friend?

2) Listening

Метод: усний виклад матеріалу. Учитель читає двічі текст.

My Best Friend

Hello pupils of the 7^th A! My name is Ann and I want to tell you about me best friend.

No doubt, everyone dreams of having a true and faithful friend but not all of us are lucky enough to find one. Frankly speaking, I’m rather sociable, that’s why I have many friends. As for me I’m happy with my friends.

My best friend is Kate. We study in the same class and spend much time together. In appearance she is very beautiful. She has an oval face, a straight nose, thick dark hair, big brown eyes and a pleasant smile. So people and, of course I, find her smart. Besides, Kate is known for her friendly character. She is usually kind-hearted and interested in other people. More than that, she is hard-working, faithful and attentive. I can always turn to her whenever I’m in trouble, and she never fails to help. Kate is clever, and that’s why she is good at school. 

In general Kate is loyal, tactful and great at keeping secrets. For me it is very important that my best friend is an honest girl. I can fully rely on her and trust her everything.

In conclusion I’d like to add, that my friend is an interesting person. She is well-read. Her favourite author is Julian Rowling and her creation “Harry Potter”. 

To sum up, “A good friend is like the sun in winter”, it’s about Kate. I’m the happiest girl in the world, because I have such a wonderful friend.

Метод: усний виклад матеріалу. Учитель читає твердження, а учні підіймають зелену картку, якщо це правда, або зелену, якщо неправда.

2. Reading   Ex.  3 (p. 26) (8 min.)

1)  Pre-Reading  Activity. 

а)  Метод: усний виклад матеріалу. Повторення лексичного  матеріалу      (p. 27). Учитель кидає м’ячика та називає слово українською мовою, а учень, який впіймав м’ячика каже переклад слова англійською.

T: - Say the translation of the words.

 б) Метод: бесіда. На кожне питання відповідає декілька учнів. Учитель слідкує за правильністю вимови.

 T:  - How do you think is it easy be a good friend? Are you a good friend?

в) Учні хором повторюють скоромовку She sells the sea shells on the seashore.

2)  Reading. Ex.  3 (p. 26).

Метод: робота з підручником. Декілька учнів читають текст, інші слідкують.

T: - Let’s read and translate the text.

3)  Post-Reading Activity.  Ex.  4  (p.  27).

Метод: усний виклад матеріалу. Учні  ділять слова на дві колонки: позитивні та негативні риси характеру.

T: - Devide the words into two columns: good and bad features.

3. Speaking   (8 min.)   

Метод: робота з підручником. Учитель пояснює вживання конструкції as … as. Ex. 7 p. 27

4. Warming up (2 min.)   

Учні співають пісню про дружбу.

5. Writing  (9 min.)   

Метод: вправ. Учні у зошитах пишуть про свого друга.

T: You remember that we should to write a letter about your summer holidays. Let’s do it! But at first we read some rules how to write a letter.

Helpful Tips

1. Put the date in the top right-hand corner.

2. Always start “Dear Sir or Madam” or write the person’s name.

3. End the letter with “Best wishes” and write your name.

1. Home Task (1 min.): write about one of your family member

T: - Open your day books and write down the home task.

2. Summarizing (2 min.):

a) Метод: бесіда. На кожне питання вчителя відповідає декілька учнів.

T: - What did we do today? What did you like most of all?

b) Діти отримують листівки з прислів’ями про дружбу.

c) Учитель виставляє оцінки.
