Topic: I, my family and friend

Micro topic: My hobby. The Present Continuous Tense (affirmative form)

Objectives: to give some information about different hobbies and revise previously learnt vocabulary, to introduce a new grammar point (The Present Continuous Tense), to develop speaking skills, thinking abilities, to teach pupils to respect the partner’s point of view, to widen pupils’ outlook, to create a relaxed atmosphere in the classroom and promote interest in the culture.

Vocabulary: playing chess, dancing, riding on the cars, playing football, acting

Grammar items: The Present Continuous Tense

Materials to be used: a computer, multimedia system, pictures of different hobbies, grammatical table.

Procedure

 

1. Introduction

Greeting:

-Hi, everyone! How are you?

Aim.:

-Today we are going to continue

Our theme is “My hobby”. By the end of the lesson you will be able to name some hobbies and make your own statements on the topic in Present Continuous.

2. Warm up and review:

So look at the windows and match these pictures on the poster and then say what can you see .Lets start your answer with IT IS…….
