Мета: активізувати  лексичний матеріал теми; поглибити знання учнів про важливу роль спорту в нашому житті;

 розвивати навички комунікативного спілкування;

 стимулювати в учнів інтерес та підтримку мотивації в оволодінні мовленнєвою діяльністю на уроках англійської мови;

розвивати увагу, пам'ять і швидку реакцію та здогадку в учнів; виховувати любов до фізичної культури і спорту, бажання займатися спортом.

Обладнання: презентація до уроку, презентація з видами спорту, конверти з завданнями.

Тип уроку: урок-змагання.

Хід уроку

І. Організаційний момент

1.Привітання та оголошення теми уроку

 Good morning, children!  I’m glad to see you. You look well today! And now look around and say what we are going to speak about at the lesson today.    Are we going to speak about sport? You are right.

 

2. Фонетична зарядка

Well, our body needs training, but our tongue needs training too. Let's start our lesson with a phonetic drill. Look at the screen, listen to me and repeat the tongue – twister after me.

I like to run out in the sun,

It's such a fun to run, to run.

 Now catch this ball and answer my questions.

Dear seventh formers! Today we take part in the intellectual competition “Funny Basketball”. Our participants are two teams from your class. So let's divide into 2 teams and you should name your its.

ІІ команда: -  19,15,14,5,3,8,11,15 (Sonechko)

It's high time to move to our next stations

а.  Станція «Лексична»

А)  Our first station is called "Lexical".

At our first station we are going to revise sports and games. At first let's repeat the words all together and then we'll have some tasks.    (Listen and repeat Sports vocabulary)

b) Match the words in English and in Ukraine

 The next station is “Mysterious”

Guess the word

It is a team game. Both men and women can play it. The players have a ball. They play the ball with their hands. There are six players in every team. (Volleyball)

It is a very popular game in England and in Ukraine. The players kick the ball with their feet. The game lasts 90 minutes and has two halves. The players try to score a goal. (Football)

It is a very beautiful kind of sport. It gives the sportsmen strength, rhythm and grace. The sportsmen do some exercises and dance to music on the ice. The dancers have very nice costumes on. (Figure – skating)

This game is played everywhere – in Ukraine and in other countries too. It was first played in the USA. Each of the two teams has five players. They bounce the ball on the floor up and down with one hand. They try to throw the ball into the basket. (Basketball)

It is a game of two players. Each player starts with sixteen different playing pieces. They move the playing pieces on a board. The aim of the game is taking your opponent's king. (Chess)

Football–World Cup 2010

Football is a very popular sport in many countries. TheWorld Cup is held every four years. Thirty- two teams from around the world compete in this tournament. In 2010 the World Cup was played in South Africa from June 26 to July 10. The games were watched on television by millions of people around the world. Spain won this World Cup. They beat Netherlands in the final game by a score of 1 to 0. The next World Cup was in 2014 and it was played in Brazil.
