Ігрові технології на англійській мові на уроках і в позашкільний час

 

ВСТУП

 

            Гра, як відомо, є провідною формою діяльності  дитини.

            Дана тема надзвичайно важлива для глибокого її вивчення та, особливо, практичного застосування в школах. Її актуальність на сучасному етапі є очевидною, а з врахуванням нових віянь у системі освіти, що дають викладачам простір для новаторства і впровадження в життя власних неординарних ідей. І саме гра як найменш обтяжена умовностями та різного роду обмеженнями форма найбільш сприятлива, на мій погляд, для застосування, бо саме тут існують необмежені можливості для реалізаціїї творчого потенціалу як викладача, так і учнів.

Тема: Подорож Англією

Мета: розширити та поглибити знання учнів про Велику Британію; розвивати творчі здібності учнів, бажання надалі вивчати англійську мову; виховувати культуру мовлення і спілкування.

Обладнання: географічна карта Великої Британії, малюнки.

Teacher:  Welcome to the British Isles, dear friend!

Are you ready to travel  ? Today we are going to visit the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northen Ireland . Big cities  and other miracles are waiting for us.

Pupil 1 : What are the British Isles like ? They consist of two big islands:  Great Britain and Northen Ireland . Great Britain consist of  England, Scotland and Wales . Three countries of the island make the United Kingdom.

Pupil 2 : The capital of England is London . Cardif is the capital of Wales and Edinburgh is capital of Scotland . The United Kingdom is monarcy. Queen Elizabeth II is in charge of it .

Queen : Nice to meet you  boys and girls!  I’m  Queen Elizabeth  II . I live in Buckingham Palace . If you see the British flag above my palace, it means that I’m at home. There are 650 rooms in the Palace . I have got 4 children and 6 grandchildren.

Teacher : As you already know the capital of England is London.

Pupil 3 : London is also the biggest city in Great Britain . The river Thames is in the centre of London .There are  27 bridges  in London. About eight milion people live hereLondoners use underground as a kind of transport . The  underground consists of 273 stations.

Pupil  4 : You can see many buses and taxis in London . The English call taxis “cabs”.  This word means “to jump like a goat”. Cabs are very light cars .

Pupil 5  London is more than two thousand years old.London’s most famous sights are Tower Bridge Westminster Abbey  Big Ben and the Houses of Parliament  Trafalgar Square and St. Paul’s Cathedral

Pupil 6.Big Ben is one of the most well-known clocks in the world. Westminster Abbey is a royal church.The Tower of London was built in the 11 century and is a museum now.

The Scot : Hello, children ! Now you are in Scotland . Those who live in Scotland are Scots . They like music .The traditional musical instrument in Scotland are violins and bagpipes .Scotish people like sports  too.  They play football,  golf  and shinty.

Pupil  7 : Scotland is a country of landscapes .We can see many lakes there. There is a legend that a monster lives in Loch Ness. In Scotish language they are called “Lochs“.

Teacher : Now we are in the country of spring . It’s  Ireland.

Pupil  8 : Ireland is called” the country of eternal spring”. The climate is very mild there. Roses and oak – trees are very big and beautiful there .

Pupil  9:  Ireland is a country of tales and legends . It’s the country of old sheep and pubs.

Pupil  10: The traditional dish there is stew . It’s very tasty meat in pots  .The Irish are hospitable people,  they like to dance and to have fun.

 

Teacher: А тепер ми з вами повертаємося з нашої мандрівки, з Британських островів, і проведемо конкурс команд на кращих знавців слів, які прийшли до нас із цієї країни. Кожна команда по черзі називає слова. За кожне слово нараховується 1 бал. Команда – переможниця обирається за кількістю очок.

(Приклади слів: футбол, гольф, регбі,теніс, баскетбол, тощо).

№3.  Урок – змагання для  5   класу ”Who knows Great Britain best of all”

Мета: виявити знання в учнів та їх ерудицію;  розвивати навички говоріння та перекладу;  виховувати бажання вивчати англійську мову та  допитливість в учнів.

 

Хід уроку

 

1. Вступ

Конкурс “Візитна  картка”.(Кожен учасник  розповідає про себе англійської мовою).

 

2. Основна частина

   І  раунд. Визначається кількість учасників.

ІІ  раунд

Завдання  1. “Хто перший прочитає зашифроване слово з теми “Географія Британії” (за порядковим номером букв алфавіту)

а)  5, 14, 7, 12, 1, 14, 4  (England) ;

2. 20,  8, 1, 13, 5, 19  (Thames) ;
3. 19,  5, 22,  5,  18,  14  (Severn) ;

  d)    23, 1, 12, 4, 19      (Wales) ;

   Хто  перший виконає завдання, той далі буде відповідати першим.

Завдання  3. “Holidays”

На картках написані назви національних свят  Великобританіїї. Учасники вибирають одну картку. І розповідають, що вони знають про це свято. (пропоную назви свят: Christmas,  St.  Valentine’s Day,   Easter,  Halloween) .

(підбиття  результатів).

 

  ІІІ  раунд

Беруть участь 2- 3 учасники, що мають найбільшу кількість балів. 

 

Завдання  1.  Хто найкраще знає лексику з теми?”(конкурс проходить у швидкому темпі).

Пропоную слова:монарх, столиця, абатство, церква, діловий центр, університет, острів, гори, клімат, місто – контрастів, омивається, океани, моря, індустріальний, вузькі вулиці.

 

Завдання  2. Конкурс ” Дуель”.

Учасникам пропоную питання з теми. Хто перший дасть правильну відповідь, той перемагає.

1   Where are the British  Isles?

2. What is the capital of England?
3. Where is London situated?
4. What is the climate in Britain?
5. What is the longest river?
6. Who is the Queen of the United Kingdom?
7. What are the main districts in London ?

№4.  Рольові  ігри по темі” Travelling”.

 

Учням пропонується розіграти певні ситуації, використовуючи одержані знання. Я роздаю їм  картки  з  завданням. Ось якого типу.

 

№1.You are a Ukrainian tourist.

       You are a schoolboy.

       You are fond of traveling and meeting new people.

       Tell your new friends  about your favourite Ukrainian cities and ask them about places of

       interest in Great Britain.

 

№2. You are a Ukrainian tourist.

         You are interested in history.

         You would like to see the historic sights of London.

          Be ready to ask questions about London and its history  and to share the information 

          about Kyiv  with a group of tourist from the UK.

 

№3. The traveler at the railway station.

        Ask the clerk at the booking – office for tickets. You need  two tickets : one single and one          

       return.

 

№4.  Miss B. Works in pair with Mr.A

       You feel pity you have missed the train. Ask Mr.A about the time. You are afraid you will miss the train again.

 

№5.  Рольва гра  по темі “Shop  and Shopping”.

 

№1. You are going to buy a present  for your friend . You don’t know what to choose. Ask a shop -  assistant to help you.

№2. You are a shop – assistant at a fashionable shop . Help you customers to choose the proper clothes. Discuss the quality, the prise, the size and the colour of a new thing.

Учні прослуховують початок оповідання. Потрібно зрозуміти зміст і вигадати закінчення.

 

Choice the Right Statements

Діти прослуховують текст, після чого  серед твержень, написаних на дошці, вони повинні вибрати ті, що відповідають змісту тексту.

 

An attentive reader

Учні отримують 2 текти, в одному з них є незначні зміни. Потрібно назвати факти, що не відповідають змісту тексту.

 

Translators

Учнчм пропоную прочитати текст або речення і перекласти його рідною мовою. Оцінюється правильність перекладу.

 

Language learners

Учні повинні записати еквіваленти нових слів або висловів, що вжиті в прочитаному тексті.

 

Anagrams

Літери в словах пишу в неправильному порядку. Діти повинні “розшифрувати” слова.

 

Words Pairs

З написаних на дошці прикметників потрібно вибрати пари – синоніми, антоніми.

(це можуть бути і іменники, і дієслова).

 

Odd one out

Вчитель читає або називає слова по вивченій темі.Учням необхідно знайти слово, яке не відповідає данній групі слів.

Broken sentence

Вчитель демонструє розірвані частини речення.Завдання для учнів скласти його в правильному порядку.

№ 9. Урок – Гра для учнів 5-6  класів “St. Valentine’s  Day”

Мета: розвивати навички мовлення, аудіювання, активізувати вивчені лексично- граматичні структури на основі змагання, збагачувати світогляд учнів.

           Dear boys and girls!

You know that nowadays people celebrate St. Valentine’s Day. It’s traditional for young people to send cards and presents with red hearts to each others. The 14-th of February has been considered a good time to choose your lover. We also have to determine our pairs.

2.  Вибір пар для змагань.

Here are two hats.  One of them contains the names of girls and another – the names of boys.  Everybody should choose the partner.

III. Конкурси і змагання.

1. Tongue twisters.

Each pupil should choose one oattern and read it quickly as possible .

1)  Kate bakes eight tasty cakes.

2)  Fat Pat had a fat cat.

3)  Pat’s black cat sat in Pat’s hat.

4)  A girl sees three big geese.

5)   Sid sees six trees.

6. Here is a rose the rose is red.

2.  “Juice for lover”.

What fruit will you use to prepare the juice for your valentine ?

By means of this competition we’ll revise the names of fruit and their spelling.

(apple, cherry, banana, pear, plum, lemon ,orange ,ect).

3. “Dominos “.

What is the favourite colour of my Valentine?

(учні повинні скласти з карточок назви кольорів: black,  red, grey,  brown,  blue).

4. “Find antonyms”.

Easy, tall, wrong, up, difficult, then, small, fat, beautiful, true, new, right, down, ugly, false, thin,  old, before.

5. “Do you  know the things girl and boys are made of ?”

There is a table with some words. The pupils should choose the right ones for boys and girls

(учні вибирають назви речей з таблиці: cakes, sports, T-shirts, songs, skirts, tears, snakes, catapult, ice-cream,  candies, ect).

6. “Be quick to answer!”

 Please solve the following riddles:

1)   What year lasts only one day ?       (New year).

3)   Your teacher  рuts marks in it.        (A day-book).

4 )   I can tell you all the day.  Time to sleep and time to play.    (A clock).

5)   The little old woman has twelve children  some short some long some cold some hot. (A year)

6)   What is it that we have in December and we don’t have in any other month?   (The letter D).

7)   Which month of the year is the shortest ?   ( May. It has three letters).

8)   In winter and im summer they stand both in one colour.   ( A fir- tree ).

9)   What man cannot live inside the house ?     (A snowman).

10.  When you look around on a cold winter morning , what do you see on every hand?  (A glove).

 

7. “Fairy-tale  Characters.

Listen to the following texts and tell the names of the fairy-tale characters.
