Good morning! My name is Arthur Ovdiyenko. I’m student of “Melitopol Multidisciplinary Center for Vocational Education”. (next slide)

My future profession is “computer setup operator, office employee (accountant)”. Topic of my research work is: "Profession "Computer Setup Operator" in the Modern World". (next slide)

The aim of the study: an analyze of the sphere of human activity in which the profession of computer operator is used. Object of research: my profession is a computer operator. The subject of the study is the process of introducing the profession into the modern world. (next slide)

According to the research aim, the following tasks were set:

• generalize theoretical and methodological literature, accumulate own knowledge and materials in a single fund for research in an educational institution;
• take interviews with staff of centre who use the skills of work;
• to analyze the conditions of work in the profession created in the state educational institution "Melitopol Multidisciplinary Center for Vocational Education";
• to make an analysis and conclusions accordingly for the conducted research.

The beginning of the XXI century characterizes society as a post-industrial (informational), in which informatization is carried out in all spheres of human activity.

Informatization of society is a global social process, the feature of which is that the dominant kind of activity in the sphere of social production is the recruitment, accumulation, processing, storage, transmission and use of information.

Informatization of society, as emphasized in modern literature  provides:

• active using of the constantly expanding intellectual potential, concentrated in the print fund, scientific, production and other activities of its members;
• integration of information technologies with scientific, industrial, initiating development of all spheres of social production, intellectualization of labor activity;
• high level of information service, visualization of the submitted information, veracity of the used data. (next slide)

The professional skills of the computer setup operator are useful in many professions.

During the training profession computer setup operator, students receive following skills:

• skill of writing and editing information (text, graphic),
• use databases,
• print information on the printer,
• skill of composing and sending a letter through the Internet,
• skill of "downloading" information from the network to a hard or floppy disk and vice versa, from a hard drive or a floppy disk - to the network;
• work on DOC and WINDOWS systems, using WORD editors of various modifications,
• join to the electronics conference, place their own information there, and read, "download" the information available at various conferences.

Employees who own this list of knowledge need: big shopping malls, call centers, diverse companies, and so on. (next slide)

Before the start of the research work, it was decided to find out in which professions you can apply the work to a computer. In this way, a survey was conducted among representatives of different specialties:a secretary, an accountant, a librarian, a health worker, a practical psychologist, a teacher, a master of production training.

It wanted to know:

• What kind of education did they get to work on this specialty?
• How often do they use a computer in their work?
• What software do they use to run their work?

First of all, we talked with the secretary of the center's director Meshcheryakova E.A. She work as a secretary for 20 years. In her work she constantly use a computer. And most often she used the programs of Microsoft Office. (next slide)

We managed to communicate with the chief accountant of the center  Kizilova N. P. She said that in her work she uses special programs, as “1C: Enterprise”, “Crystal Finance”, “Parus-Budget”, “M.E.Doc”. (next slide)

Practical psychologist of the center Koltunova N.V. often uses a computer for individual work with students. Very often she had to download light music from the Internet for conducting auto-trainings. As she said she would like to learn how to use graphic editors. (next slide)

The librarian of the center Nadtoka A.V. told that she received her education in the higher school of culture. In her work to create a database of readers, literary catalogs and to write reports, she uses Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Power Point, Microsoft Access. (next slide)

We also managed to communicate with the medical officer of our center Kurantseva O. Y. She told me, that thanks to her ability to work on personal computer and knowledge of Microsoft Access, she created an electronic database of students and staff of the center. She keep statistics, record of diseases, make monitoring tables, etc. (next slide)

Zhuravel V. P. – teacher of chemistry and biology – spoke about the use of different programs for the preparation and conduct of lessons. She uses ready‑made software products (encyclopedias, curriculum, etc.) She uses Photoshop, Illustrator to create a visual aid. For development and testing – esiQwasi. (next slide)

After talking with the master of industrial training in the profession "Painter, Plasterer" Solyanik O. V. it turned out that he confirmed our assumption that knowledge of the personal computer is very helpful in the work. (next slide)

Conclusion

The task of the study was fulfilled, namely:

The scientific-theoretical, methodological literature has been analyzed and summarized, and own knowledge and materials are accumulated in a single fund for research in an educational institution.

"Melitopol Multidisciplinary Center of vocational education" has been analyzed. With the help of a personal computer, people of different professions work – they type texts, make different calculations, build graphics, create presentations, publish, conduct online testing, compile tests, build interactive crosswords and puzzles, use graphic editors to process photographs, collages. Use multimedia software.

Conclusions are made, which show that the profession of a computer setup operator is applicable in all branches of the sphere of human activity. Using knowledge and skills that the operator receives during his studies gives him the opportunity to perform any operations on the personal computer in the professions of the modern world.
