First of all,let’s speak with one another:

1)What are four seasons of a year?

-Winter ,spring ,summer and autumn are four seasons  of a year.

2)What season is it now?

-It is winter now.

3)What are winter months ?

-December,January and February are winter months.

4)What month is it now?

 -It is February now.5)-Do you like winter?Why?

-I like winter because it is the time for skiing,skating,hockey-playing.On a fine winter day snow is falling in large flakes,covering the ground.It’s very nice to be in the open air.

 

6)What holidays do we celebrate in winter?

-We celebrate  the New Year’s,St.Nicholas Day,Christmas and Valentine’s day.

-What is you favourite holiday?-

My favourite holiday is Easter.It is a religious holiday and many churches have an outdoor sunrise service.People give each other presents of eggs which are the symbol of new life.

7)What date is it today?

-It is Wednesday,the fourteenth of February.

8)What holiday do we celebrate?

-We celebrate Valentine’s Day today.It is a happy little festival in honour  of St.Valentine,patron of sweethearts and lovers. It is widely celebrated

among people of all ages by the exchangeof’’Valentines”.A ‘’Valentine”is a special

greeting card or a little present.The greeting cards are often red.They are in the sha -pe of a heart.

T:I see that all of you are in a good mood.So let’s start our lesson.

2.Aim

Today we are are going to continue to speak about reading.We’ll revise the adjectives  that you worked with at home, we’ll learn how to use them. Then we’ll work with grammar – Past Indefinite and Past Continuous but first of all let’s look at the results of your homework.  Look at your crossword.You have done it very well using the programme Learning Apps.

3.Vocabulary practice

Is the sky clear?                      -        No, it’s cloudy.  It is dark.

 

2.Is the sea rough?- No, the sea is calm.

 

 

 

 

 

3.Is it a sandy beach or a pebbly one? - The beach is sandy.

Can we see a lot of people? –Yes,we can .The beach is crowded and I think it is noisy.

4)Is the restaurant empty?-No,the restaurant is crowded.It is noisy.It is expensive.

 

 

5)What can you tell about this mountain?-This mountain is high,snowy and steep.

 

 

 

 

 

 

6)How can you describ e this street? –This street is narrow and empty.

 

 

7)Is the night stormy?-No,the night is moonlit and calm.

Your next task is to listen to the story and to choose a,b,c or d answers according to the context using the programme Plickers. But before we start I want you to look at the picture of ex. 14, p.25 and answer my questions:

1. Who are these people to each other?-I think that they love each other.They

are a husband and a wife.

     2.What do they look like? –They are tall and slender .They have got dark hair and        stunning features.They dressed formally.

           Where are they?-They are at the railway station.

2. What’s the weather like?-It seems to me that the weather is cold because they are wearing coats and hats.
3. How do they feel?-They feel sad because the woman is leaving.
