Тема: Велика Британія. Цікаві місця Лондона.

Мета: розширити знання учнів з теми «Лондон», залучити учнів до іншомовної комунікативної діяльності засобами інтерактивних та хмарних технологій

Завдання уроку: • формування наступних ключових компетентностей: здатність спілкуватися іноземною мовою, інформаційно-комунікаційна компетентність, культурна компетентність;

• розвиток вмінь читання та аудіювання з розумінням, вміння висловлювати власну думку усно, здатність логічно обґрунтовувати позицію, ініціативність, вміння приймати рішення, здатність співпрацювати з іншими людьми;

• прищеплення поваги до особистості, доброзичливого і позитивного ставлення до співрозмовника, розподілене лідерство, принципи соціального партнерства.

Очікувані результати: знаннєвий – знати і характеризувати основні цікаві місця Лондона, розуміти і пояснювати механізм побудови розділових запитань;

діяльнісний – уміти називати (з правильним фонетичним оформленням) основні цікаві місця Лондона, уміти будувати і використовувати розділові запитання, виконувати завдання з аудіювання;

ціннісний – висловлювати власну думку усно, робити

висновки щодо власних вподобань, обґрунтовувати свою позицію.

T: Good morning!

T. Dear, pupils! I'm glad to see you. I see your eyes are full of excitement and great desire to study English and get much knowledge. English’s here, English’s there!

Ps: English, English’s everywhere!

T: We are going to have an interesting lesson again. We are going to speak about London, learn more about its different sights and practise the use of tag questions.

T. Look at the blackboard. There is a sentence here. But all the words in it are written together. Try to divide these words and read the sentence. Work with your deskmate to figure out what this sentence may be.

T. Well-done. So, this is the motto of our lesson: "A bad day in London is still better than a good day anywhere else”. Do you agree with this statement? You may still hesitate. So, by the end of the lesson you’ll be able to decide if London is worth visiting and which sights are the most appealing to you.

T: And now to check your knowledge of the necessary vocabulary I suggest an interesting task. In small groups you will have to match the places in a town or a city with their definitions.

T: At the previous lessons we revised different types of questions. And today we are going to get acquainted with another type of questions – a tag question. Let’s watch a video and guess why it is called in such a way.

T: Let’s practise constructing such questions. Each of you is going to have either the beginning of the question or the ending. Your task is to go around the class and find the other part of your question.

Big Ben is not a clock, is it?

You can learn about space at the Science Museum, can’t you?

There are 700 species in London Zoo, aren’t there? There aren’t any reptiles in London Zoo, are there? The London Eye is 30 metres high, isn’t it? The Queen doesn’t sleep in Buckingham Palace, does she? The Prime Minister works in Downing Street, doesn’t he?

You can’t eat fish in London, can you?

T: Let’s look at these sentences once again. Which of them do you think are true about London? Now we’re going to listen to the song and find out if your guesses were correct. After listening try to do the true/ false task in pairs.

T: If there are so many sights in London, let’s consider the possible ways how to see all of them. Work in groups and discuss how we can travel around London.

T: Today we have mentioned many sights. I wonder which of them you find the most attractive.

P₁: I would like to have a ride on the London Eye because it is the biggest Ferris wheel.

IV. Підведення підсумків.

Прийом: Виконання тесту в Office 365, бесіда TCl про діяльність на уроці, повідомлення домашнього завдання.

Р₃: I think it’s exciting to visit the Tower of London as it’s an interesting museum where I can see the Royal Crown.

T: Well, let's sum up. I’ve got a few questions for you to answer. Use either your smartphones or the computers to enter Office 365 and do the test.

T: I think, you agree with our today's motto and one day each of you will visit the British capital and see with your own eyes the places we have mentioned today. I hope you’ll be able to plan your tour of London by yourselves and recognize all the landmarks.

Your home assignment for the next lesson will be to do ex. 2, 3 on p. 128 orally and ex. 4 on p. 129 in writing from your textbooks.
