Тема. Around Great Britain and Ukraine.
Підтема.Ukraine is a European Country.
Практична мета. Повторити й закріпити лексичний матеріал теми. Формувати навички роботи з текстом. Активізувати вживання означеного артикля “the” з географічними назвами. Навчати зв’язно висловлювати свою думку. Удосконалювати вміння працювати в групі, парі. Практикувати учнів у діалогічному мовленні.
Освітня мета. Формувати уявлення учнів про Європейські країни; розширювати лінгвістичний кругозір учнів.
Розвиваюча мета. Розвивати мовну здогадку та мовленнєву реакцію учнів. Розвивати культуру спілкування під час ведення діалогу. Розвивати здатність мовного самоконтролю.
Виховна мета. Виховувати любов до своєї країни, її традицій. Виховувати почуття патріотизму, повагу до державних символів. Формувати позитивне ставлення до вивчення англійської мови, зацікавленість у розширенні своїх знань, досягненні успіху кожного співучасника творчого процесу та його максимальної самореалізації.

UKRAINIAN NATIONAL SYMBOLS
Ukraine has got a long history. The word Ukraine was first mentioned in the 12th century. It was a geographical name for the land in the south of Kyivan Rus.
In old times the Ukrainian people used the blue and yellow colours in their national symbols. The colours of our flag are blue and yellow. Some people say that they are the colours of the golden sun and cloudless blue sky.
The Golden Trident is our state emblem. It is the symbol of the Holy Trinity.
The anthem of Ukraine «She lives on our Ukraine» was written and put to music by Verbytsky and Chubinsky in the 19th century.
