To begin with, I think they are dangerous. A GPS distracts you from your driving as you have to pay attention to the directions it's giving and check the screen. Secondly, there's that annoying voice. I can't stand listening to it. What's more, you need to spend money updating it often, so that you have the latest map of your city/country with the new streets or the streets that have closed down, for example. Lastly, people rely on this device too much and when it fails for some reason, they feel totally helpless. The way I see it, there's not much point in owning a GPS. What's wrong with a good old map and road signs?   Peter:The GPS is a wonderful invention that helps drivers get to different locations. It has many advantages. Firstly, it is easier to use and more reliable than a regular map, so you hardly ever get lost. Also, you don't really have to look at the screen. You can just listen to the voice. I love downloading famous people's voices for my device. In addition, a GPS chooses the best and quickest route to a destination, so you actually save time. What is more, it can give you valuable information like traffic updates, and even where the nearest supermarket or hotel is. Finally, you can use a GPS for playing MP3 files, or even for looking at photos. Personally, I believe that a GPS device is something useful that all drivers should have. Question 1GPS devices used to be very popular some years ago.

This happens quite often! There’s no one to tell me what I should or shouldn’t write. It’s all in my head and if I can’t think of anything, then I can’t write and I have to go for a walk with the dog or listen to some music to give my brain a rest. After a break like this, I can usually start writing again. 5 ……………………… I can’t imagine having another job. If I didn’t write, I don’t know what I’d do. So, I have to hope that people will continue to buy my books and that I continue to have good ideas!
